On a barren window ledge high above the streets of Brisbane, a Peregrine Falcon named Frodo and his mate Frieda make their home.
They have nested there for two or three years now and are known all around the world by bird watchers and the curious alike.
They are so well known because our city newspaper sponsors them, and has a webcam set up near their nest called Frodocam.
Frodo and Frieda became the parents, yesterday of two healthy chicks and are expecting a third anytime now.
Here are some pics of the new family.
Note: Peregrine Falcons are raptors. Some of these pics may be a bit gory.

Frieda on the nest

Frieda is aware of the camera, and often checks, just to make sure it is not up to mischief! Heaven help it, if it was, methinks!

We don't often see Frodo now. He spends most of his time hunting to feed his healthy, hungry babies. This is Frieda serving a pigeon for lunch. It is noted that the number of feral pigeons dramatically decreases in the city at this time of year. Frodo is a good hunter!

As his little ones can happily attest!
